Rethinking Surface Protection from the Ground Up
For decades, painting contractors and flooring installers have faced the same dilemma: cheap red rosin paper tears easily, plastic drop cloths create slippery trip hazards, and standard 9 mil brown paper absorbs fluids and lets wet paint bleed straight through to raw subfloors.
Duck Drop was created to solve these challenges simultaneously. We upcycle high-performance protective material, engineering a roll with a durable core and a fluid-impermeable silicone coating. Its second use saves the purchase of new material and eliminates double the waste.
Duck Drop is 3 mil in thickness, yet its fluid-impermeable silicone coating gives it the puncture resistance and tensile durability of traditional 9 mil brown paper—while being 100% waterproof and providing 50% less curling than industry standard products.
Core Principles
Smart Upcycling
We upcycle high-performance protective material. Putting it to work for a rugged second use saves the purchase of new material and eliminates double the waste.
Zero Bleed Guarantee
Water, oil-based stains, polyurethane, and acetone thinners pool safely on the surface without penetrating the paper fibers underneath.
Contractor Economics
With 54-inch extra-wide rolls (675 sq. ft.), crews tape 50% fewer seams and spend up to 40% less per square foot of real protected floor.
